An Ohio -based walnut company is recalling over 140 cases of honey -baked peanuts due to the possible presence of an allergen.
According to a announcement of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the trophy nut company is remembered 143 cases of its Heinen’s 8.25-ion cans of honey-baked peanuts because containers can contain cheese.
The nuts were distributed in Ohio and Illinois in Heinen’s grocery stores, a regional chain in Midwest.
Memory only affects cans marked with a date “better if used by” 10-01-2025 and a “best” date of 10-03-2025.
They were distributed to Heinen’s countries between October 24, 2024 and April 4, 2025.
The memory began after a consumer made a complaint about cans containing cheese.
Since then, at least one consumer has reported an allergic reaction due to a production error.
“The subsequent investigation shows that the problem is caused by a temporary division in the company’s production and packaging processes,” reads a FDA press release.
“People who have a severe allergy or sensitivity to curry risk a serious or life -threatening allergic response if they consume this product,” noted statements.
Officials encourage customers who buy peanuts remembered to return their products into their local grocery store Heinen for full refund.
For customers with questions about withdrawal, Trophy Nut Company also operates a customer service line in 1-800-729-6887.
It is not uncommon for the nuts to be drawn for allergen -related reasons.
Last year, high value tapes were remembered because of the undeclared presence of coconut and milk, both allergens.
Last year, reminiscent of Trader Joe in 16 countries due to a possible salmonella contamination.
Fox News Digital arrived at the trophy nut company for additional comments, but did not hear immediately.
