Do you think you brushed your teeth down? Think again.
Dr. Arash Ravanbakhsh, the owner of Inglewood Family Dental in Calgary, Canada, recently shared five common mistakes people make while leaving their teeth.
Be careful – ignoring his advice can lead to weakened enamel, gum damage and even bad spirit.
Brushing after breakfast
It may seem natural to brush your teeth after your first meal of the day to wash your morning coffee taste.
However, Dr. Ravanbakhsh warns that acidic foods such as orange juice and toast can weaken the enamel, and washing very soon afterwards can cause further damage.
“Dentists recommend washing the first things in the morning before breakfast, as it removes the tile and bacteria from your mouth built during your sleep,” he said. “Toothpaste also provides greater protection against acidic foods, while the dance washing method begins your salivary production, helping to break your food.”
If you absolutely cannot resist the request to wash after the break, it recommends wait at least 30-60 minutes to protect your enamel. In the meantime? Use mouth washing.
“Rinsing your mouth by washing your mouth after eating, prevents food waste from climbing your teeth and prevents the creation of bacteria,” he said.
Rinsing after washing
It can also feel natural to rinse immediately after brushing your teeth – after all, you are already there and how likely you think again about your teeth before the evening?
But Dr. Ravanbakhh advises against this as it can make the toothpaste less effective.

Washing too hard

“Another simple technique to soften your teeth brushing is simply by holding your brush with only three fingers, so it helps maintain pressure light compared to the use of the whole hand,” he said.

Dentists never stop remembering to light – but they do it for a reason.
“You have to wait once a day, with some studies suggesting that the breeze before washing can help remove more tiles,” said Dr. Ravanbakhshsh. “As well as giving you the cooler breath and removing debris from your teeth, flossing also plays an important role to protect you from the cavities.”

Washing the wrong way
“You may think that the method of brushing your teeth is effective and does not harm, but you may miss life points. Simply going along your teeth with wide strokes from left to right is not recommended,” he said.
