A new warning has been issued to dog owners.
Blue Ridge Beef has recalled thousands of 2 LB mixed natural records due to a salmonella pollution, according to a news announcement published by the Food and Drug Administration.
The pet food company announced the withdrawal on January 31st after positive samples were found during tests in the North Carolina Department of Department of Food and Drug Protection.
Paoch parents are required to check items purchased between January 3 and January 24 this year.
The popular article that is in a transparent, log -in package is sold in retail stores as a “meal base, extra or topper” for dogs. The kitchen contains beef, green triple, beef heart and beef liver.
The number of the stamped part at the end of the packaged register is marked as Lot # N25/12/11 and UPC # is 854298001054.
It is assumed to store frozen and then write in the refrigerator before the meal time.
The memory of £ 5,700 is occurring in just over 25% of the states where the mixture is sold.
The affected countries are Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Tennesses and Rhode Island.
FDA warned that both pets and humans may be at risk because dog caregivers may have come into contact with bacteria while feeding their cubs.
The chances of health issues can increase if the person did not wash his hands afterwards, FDA warned.
“Healthy people infected with salmonella should monitor themselves for some or all of the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramps and fever,” according to a FDA press release. “Rarely, salmonella can result in more serious diseases, including arterial infections, endocarditis, arthritis, muscle pain, eye irritation and urinary tract symptoms. Customers displaying these signs after having this product should contact providers their health care. ”
If pets owners notice that their four -legged friend is showing symptoms, FDA requires them to contact a veterinarian.
“Pets with salmonella infections can be lethargic and have bloody diarrhea or diarrhea, fever and vomiting,” FDA added. “Some pets will only have reduced appetite, fever and abdominal pain. Infected but otherwise healthy pets can be carriers and infect animals or other people. “
Customers are required to return the food to the store from which they buy or destroy it somewhere where children, pets and wildlife cannot use it.
