About 16 million Americans have rosacea – a common skin condition that makes the face appear red or red.
While the disease usually affects middle -aged women, President Trump’s latest health memorandum noted that he has “well -managed rosacea”.

“Studies have suggested that rosacea may be associated with GI tract microbioma and that a diet that includes probiotics can provide skin benefits to rosacea,” Zalka said.
“There is a cause for patients with rosacea that include dietary choices, spicy foods, alcohol – especially red wine – hot drinks and other effects such as stress, hormonal changes and exposure to temperature extremes.”
While you can already avoid some of these causing, Zalk believes that there is a benefit to add certain foods to your diet, as “consuming probiotics and prebiotics helps maintain the balance of germs useful in the digestive tract and reduce inflammatory signals that are found to affect the skin”.
Since “no single food serves as a unique target for improving rosacea”, it recommends nine to keep your bowel healthy – and your skin looks great.
Kimchi
This spicy Korean element is loaded with probiotics – just go lightly to the heat, as the spice is a popular Rosacea trigger.
Studies suggest that fermented foods like Kimchi can strengthen the intestinal microflora with active direct microbial communities, potentially improving skin conditions such as rosacea.
Kombucha
Fermented lit teai gives bacteria that grow intestine. Go for low -sugar versions and switch mixtures infected by boza.
Kefir
Think of it as drinking yogurt filled with live crops that can support a healthier microbioma – and skin.
Research shows that different types of kefir probiotics can improve intestinal health, potentially benefiting inflammatory skin conditions such as rosacea.
Miso
This fermented soybean paste is the basis of umami -rich soups and marinades. Keep it in your refrigerator for a flavoring probiotic lifting.
pickles
Not the type associated with vinegar-we are talking about fermented pickles with living cultures. Look for labels that say “raw” or “fermented” to make sure they contain probiotics.
Flower -cabbage
A classic bowel -friendly ferment that is low in calories and large in mild flavor.
