Dave Asprey: 4 Wellness trends that can sabotage your health

Blood boys. Butthole sunning. Body modifications.

There is no very strange stunt for obsessed bioackers after extending their lives – but that does not mean that you have to turn yourself into a human guinea pig to get healthy.

The post sat down with Dave asprey, self-proclaimed “Biohacking father”, to get the inner spoon in the fiction of longevity by flooding your food that can seriously burn if you are not careful.

fast consequence

ASPREY is a fan of permanent fasting. Heck, he literally wrote the book on it.

But even longevity guru says that much of a good thing can destroy your body.

“People think,” Permanent fast is good, so it is better “, but you can ruin your metabolism like him,” he warned.

When fasting for a long time, Asprey explained, it can cause your body stress hormone level, called cortisol, go. This is when the trouble begins.

First, ASPREY said, your sleep takes a hit. People often find themselves waking up more often at night and missing in deep rest.

“Your body will be highlighted all the time,” Asprey warned. “You have to fast the right way to the condition of your body.”

So before you cross your next meal, get a beat. ASPERY recommends factoring in your exercise routine, sleep quality and any stress that is already accumulating – or your long -standing search can simply let you burn and brush.

Cold stamps are also popular in the world of Biohacking, but Asprey said that a long time in the tub can leave you more stressed than to refresh.

As with fasting, staying in solid water too long can make serious strain on the body – and send your cortisol levels through the roof.

“Women need less cold time and maybe even water a little warmer than men,” ASPERY said.

And if you hope to make ice on your way to a six -pack package, think again.

“Cold discounts do not make you shredded,” ASPERY said. “They reduce inflammation, they train the resistance, but it won’t fall 20 pounds sitting in an ice bath.”

Crash problems

“I go to the burnt man. I am not against psychhedel use,” joked asprey.

In fact, his next much -meditated book (out of the next month) devotes a chapter to the whole topic, and its withdrawal of brain optimization, 40 years Zen, offers neuropheedback aided by psychondelic with ketamine.

But don’t mistake him for a free travel advocate for everyone. ASPERY’s main concern: excessive psychhedel use.

“I see high people every weekend without integration and without therapeutic,” he said. “This is not how to do it, especially if you’re in your 20s.”

This approach, ASREY warned, can get a serious number in the brain. But when used consciously – whether for trauma intervention or even microdosation – he said psychhedelics have the potential to provide true psychological benefits.

“You have amazing brain capacity,” Asprey said. “Don’t discard it by spending every weekend in psychordies, but do some growth jobs.”

Non-performance

Of all the trends of Wellness Buzzy there, Asprey said one of the biggest problems are the so -called super foods that he argues are actually bad for you.

“Everything that no one would eat ten years ago is suddenly a superfood. That makes no sense,” ASPERY said.

“If they were super food, they would be at the top of the list in traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurveda – and they are not for a reason,” he added.

While it can be a boyfriend in the health world of health, Asprey said that if not properly prepared, it is difficult to digest and can destroy your gut.

And it’s not just what it has on your plate.

“In studies, lavender oil in as little as six weeks can raise human breasts, so I don’t like lavender oil, especially for children or for young adults,” ASPERY warned. “Medicinal medicinal. It’s not just for whatever.”

His tips for division? Do not blindly trust the label.

“Don’t use something if you don’t know what you do – just because you’ve heard it was good,” ASPREY said.
