We’ve all been there.
You are in a uber and suddenly remember that you have to make a quick stop on your way home. Milk? Bread? Berocca?
You have not added the stop in the app, but you tell the driver to withdraw, saying “I’ll be a second” as you jump out.
But you are worried that he can be removed without you because they don’t want to wait. What can you do?
You can leave your baby in the car. Your baby, in a children’s capsule, in the car. This must provide the trip. What can go wrong?
According to one Uber driver recently, this is exactly what a mother did on a trip.
“The passenger left her baby to make sure I didn’t leave”
If you think as a typical parent, LOT could go wrong.

The driver can speed up with the child you have abandoned.
The driver could call the cops.
Or, in the typical style of 2025, the driver could simply accept behavior, take a photo or video, and then post it on social media to shame you.
Of course, this driver chose option 3 (otherwise we wouldn’t have a story now).
His post Redditâ simply said: “The passenger left her baby in my SUV to make sure I would not leave in her stop.”
He added a photo of the woman’s baby capsule (and confirmed that there was a baby in it).
“The dirtiest thing someone would do”
As a parent myself, I was extremely stressed by seeing this image. But as the driver posted in a Uber forum, the answers were not as hysterical as mine.
Popular commentary, for example, read: “Turn plot: they wanted you to leave.”
But of course, most people were alarmed.
“From all things to anchor a driver, this should be the weakest thing someone would do. Imagine they did it with the wrong driver. Who knows if they will restore their child with the wrong driver. There are some sick mfers that will do so,” one concerned.
However, this prompted another sorrow: “Some drivers would not notice it, they would remove it, and then you will tell them how beautiful their child is from their next taking.”
Then this driver also felt that the situation was serious, and they wrote, “Technically, is the endangering of children. They are leaving their child in the care of a stranger as they go to do whatever they think is more important than ensuring the safety of the child.

“You would be well within your rights to contact the local police, even though you knew where the mother was. If they had appeared before she did, she would at least be given a fierce warning.”
Apparently, the mother returned to her child, as there was no further update, and the driver did not post to find out that he is now raising a child and working twice to pay for her.
