It is important to maximize the time you have rested. New research reveals a simple way to improve your health and well-being on vacation-and an annoying habit of avoiding.
Psychologists at the University of George analyzed 32 studies from nine countries and were surprised to learn that holidays are more useful for the well -being of employees than previously thought. Their findings were published this month in the newspaper of applied psychology.
â € œjob demands and stress at work are increasing. But people think they can’t stop time because they don’t want to look bad or lose an opportunity for promotion, ”said Ryan Grant, the author of the main study and a doctoral student in psychology.
“We think that working more is better, but we actually perform better by taking care of ourselves,” went on grant. “We need to disrupt these strong working periods with intense periods of rest and recovery.”
Increase your well -being with vacation
The Grant team determined that travelers participating in physical activity-whatever they get their heart rate-experience higher levels of well-being and restoration.
“Many physical activities you will do on vacation, such as snorkeling, are physical,” Grant said. “So they will give you the benefits of physiological and mental health. But they are also unique opportunities for these really positive experiences that you probably won’t get in your daily life.”
A Florida-based fitness coach recommends packaging of resistance bands and doing 10-minute training on vacation.
Its 10-minute AB routine consists of moving boards, spider walks, reaches legs, holding hungry and side boards.
Squats cossack, sumo collection, weightlifting, diving of the inner thigh and lifts of the inner thigh are part of its 10-minute exercise with internal thighs.
Avoid this a trap
It is easy to continue responding by email and receiving a job calling while on vacation – but you do this at risk.

- Reduce stress by giving yourself time to pack and plan your journey.
- Dig one or two days at the end of the holidays to facilitate the passage to work.
